We visited some friends in Montreal yesterday. It was more city than we've seen in a while. Driving kept me on my toes. I've become accustomed to no traffic and dirt roads here in VT. Ethan got to see Arianne, and Leif got to see his friend Pascal. Pascal is the friend that Leif talks about ("pa-cow') so it is fun to get them together. We went sledding at a beautiful park near the University there. The sledding hill was more like a series of luge runs with snow bumpers in between. They were sledding on packed icy/snow, and the landing was an ice field. It was actually pretty cool because rather than having a hill that is tracked out, there were runs created for sledding and others next to them which were closed for walking up. I wish I had video to show how fast they went, even starting from half-way up the hill. It's fun to listen to Arianne speak French as fluently as she does English.
The video is of Leif at 7-8 months. I came across it and had to post it. He's such a big boy now. Talking so much. He loves to name all of the big trucks and tractors in his books. Sometimes he takes his tractors to bed with him.
