Ethans line of the day

Standing in front of the freezer at 9:00 am:

"Mom, I do need some ice cream to help my tummy feel better."

I love how Ethan finds a cute way to ask when he anticipates the answer will be no. We were at Maple Grove hot springs the other day and he said "I think there is something here that I really really like." He was referring to the sucker that we had gotten him the last time we were there, which was last summer.

I love:

When Ethan walks out of his room after a long nap with his slippers on the wrong feet and rosy cheeks, not quite awake.

When he reads to his stuffed buddies. He has some books memorized, but it's really entertaining when he is not so familiar with a book and reads what he interprets from the pictures. In this video he is reading a book about different rocks you might find. While reading another rock book, one with a picture of a big eye incorporated into a desert landscape, he said "and you take a rock and put it in your eye." While we were reading an insect book, the page about cicadas, Ethan said " if you ever see a cicada, he will probably bite you." Funny.

Ethan and His Guitar

If you spend much time with Ethan you know he LOVES music. He is always singing, and when visitors come he passes out instruments for others to join in with him. He often carries his ukulele (aka. his guitar) around with him and finds things to sing about. He's pretty good eh? This song reminds me of Devendra Banhart.

I haven't been posting funny Ethan stories, though they accumulate every day. This morning he had a bloody spot on his cheek. I asked him what happened and he told me that there was a nipple (pimple) on his cheek and he took it off. He also told me the other day that his stuffed monkey thinks that he should have some of moms milk. Mom didn't agree.

Ethan's next toy

Check out www.greentoys.com. They are made in the USA from recycled milk cartons (no lead, BPA, etc). On the site is a store locator. I was able to find a store in Logan that carries them. Ethan loves to cook in his little kitchen (he makes up all kinds of interesting concoctions) so these are perfect. They also have other toy sets.

Extreme Chariot Skiing

Great Powder. Mom brought the wrong skis. Ethan squealed the whole way down. Dad was very careful.

a great way to spend new years eve

It's been great seeing Todd and Leanna. Thanks to Julie for the photos of Ethan leading the group, and Quoia enjoying the snow.
