We are finally getting lots of snow.  We got almost a foot in our yard over the weekend and it keeps snowing.  We went cross-country skiing yesterday with a friend, Dorothy, who works at an outdoor center in Craftsbury, which is another cute and small town.  We skied past big barns, and Dorothy pointed out sapcicles hanging from a big maple tree.  The boys loved those of course.  Ethan did so well on the hills on his skis.  I didn't bring Leif's, though he's no chariot rider.  I used to pull Ethan all the time in his stroller on skis.  But, maybe because he has Ethan to watch, Leif won't have it.  After a short while he got out and insisted on walking on the track behind Ethan.  Dorothy is a x-country instructor, so she picked him up and skied with him so he could feel like he got to participate.  Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of the ski, but we'll be going back.  Next time.

Sapsicles!? It never occurred to me that they would exist but I suppose it makes sense from both a physiological and a splendorous point of view. Your friend Dorothy sounds like a treasure. You're so good at connecting with those kinds of folks.
