Ethan isn't walking yet but he has found the perfect walker. Quoia's 5 gallon dog food bucket. He can walk that thing all over the kitchen and wood floors. When he hits the rug, he just turns it around. Last night he tried walking with dad's shoe.
By the way, notice his hair cut? I wanted to keep his beautiful long hair in the back but the side wings had to go. They were covering his beautiful face. I tried for a sort of bowl cut, but after gving him a mullet I decided to trim the back too.

IT SNOWED!

I love winter and snow is one of my favorite things. I'm so excited we finally got some.

Dancing

Ethan loves to dance (almost as much as his cousin Hayden). When we walk into a place with music, he'll start bouncing around in my arms. We've been collecting the Putumayo Playground CDs. They're really fun. Our favorites are the latin playground and the Folk. The songs can be sampled on Putumayo.com. Maybe I'll get around to posting one. Oh, and I haven't taken the time to figure out how to rotate the videos. They'll just have to be sideways for now. Notice Quoia waiting for handouts. Ethan makes sure she's well taken care of.

Fun in the Tub

Ethan is always figuring out new things, of course. He figured out, himself, that he can suction a rubbery cup onto his knee and it will stay there.

Watermelon

Justin and I have been trying to buy as much locally produced food as we can and anything we can't get locally we try to get from the smaller market in town. The two things I usually have to go to the grocery store for are bananas and watermelon. They are two of Ethans favorite foods (and he's a picky eater) and we ate the last local watermelon weeks ago. Next summer we are joining a farm share on a local farm. If anyone is interested in supporting local farmers and community supported agriculture, check out http://www.slowfoodutah.org/.

Handsome Little Man

"button"

Ethan has been suprising me with all of the signing he's doing. The other day when it was time to leave the park he signed "outside" and pointed to the playground. As far as talking goes, Ethan can say banana, turtle, bubble, ball, cheese, moo, meow, no, mama and dada. He used to wrinkle his nose and call me "mem." I could hear him from his crib, "mem....mem." You'll hear he's been learning the word "button" but he stops short at "butt." Now he says "butt" for a few things like booties and bellybutton.
